1 September: Learn to Knit Beginners

Learn 3 simple stitches that are all you need to begin making simple scarves and shawls.  This workshop is also perfect for those who would like to get back to knitting, and  beginner knitters who would like to attend intermediate workshops.

15 September: Brioche 2-colour Knitting Intermediate

Create unique 2-colour reversible accessories using the Brioche technique.  In this workshop, you can choose to make a cowl, headband or hat in your choice of colours or materials.  

29 September: Knitting Lace Beginners

Create your first lace scarf, shawl or bandanna using a range of stitches commonly combined to produce delicate lace patterns.  In this workshop you will also learn tips and tricks to ensure effortless lace knitting without mistakes.

6 October: Filet Crochet. 

Filet crochet has been updated from the cafe curtains of the 1960s.  Filet crochet is now seen on catwalks in both garments and accessories.  This workshop will show you the techniques of filet crochet, as well as how to plan and design your own patterns for personal one-off items.

20 October: Top-Down Knitting - Short Rows techniques Intermediate

Short Rows (Top-down knitting).  Now is the time to begin your sweaters, tops and socks so they are ready for winter.  In this workshop you will learn how to use German Short Rows (commonly used in most top-down sweater patterns) and wrap and turn stitches (commonly used for sock heels and shaping)

3 November: Knitting with Double Pointed Needles Intermediate

Before magic loop and short cords, DPNs were used for sleeves, socks and hats.  Whilst everyone has their personal preference, DPNs still have their uses - whether for closing hats, starting circular patterns, or finishing fingers on gloves.  In this workshop, we will work with small gauge DPNs to to create densely knitted wrist warmers, hand warmers or gloves.  Start in the workshop and have the perfect pair of gloves ready for winter.

17 November: Decorative Flowers & Hyperbolic Crochet

This workshop looks at the techniques in crochet that are commonly used to create flowers and leaves, including the maths behind hyperbolic crochet.  Once you have decided on your chosen flowers, we will look at how they can be combined to produce wearable accessories, home decorations, wreaths and bouquets.

1 December: Linen Stitches for Woven Effect Intermediate

Linen stitches.  Knitted linen inspired stitches give the look and feel of a woven fabric without the need for looms or shaping constraints.  The stitch is particulary impactful when used with 2 colours.  This workshop is perfect for making scarves for men or for anyone looking for a structured, non-drapey scarf or cravat.

15 December: Cables - Hats, scarves & cowls Intermediate

Cables can seem daunting, but once you know how they work you will be adding cables to personalise patterns, add extra warmth, and bring interesting textures to garments and accessories.  This workshop works with different sized cables and combinations allowing you to personalise your chosen finished item.
