Cowgirlblues is a Cape Town-based dye house and design studio specializing in South African wool and mohair.

The team of (mostly) women hand-dye South African Mohair and Merino yarns in Cape Town. Each skein is infused with our abundant sunshine, and the colours reflect the soul of the unique Cape Floral Kingdom. At Cowgirlblues “green” is a way of living and being in the world, conscious of our impact, and doing our best to tread lightly, while inspiring our community, and celebrating creativity.

Kidsilk
Our Kidsilk yarn is a super luxurious and lightweight blend of kid mohair and silk. It is soft and really light to wear. Knit it with standard gauge or over-size needles. Or combine it with Single Lace or DK to add warmth and weight.

Merino Single Lace
The single lace yarn from Cowgirl Blues is exceptionally convenient
for loose lace patterns.
This yarn consists of the finest merino wool and is superwash treated and therefore easy to care for!

Merino Linen Multis
Merino Linen yarn blend is designed to be lightweight and perfect for everyday wear in a range of seasons. The large wool component gives a beautifully soft feel and the linen and viscose bring a lightness to the fibre. It’s a great choice for sweaters, shawls, and blankets.
